Founded in 2022, Dae Studio specialises in the production of bespoke props and decorative installations, fabricated by hand in our Oxfordshire studio.

Shaped by our team’s combined decades of experience across marketing, fine art, film, television, brand, spacial and event design, our expertise lies in delivering design led installation work made with care and layered with context

HOW WE WORK

At Dae Studio, we bring artistry and craftsmanship to our clients’ projects, providing work that blurs the line between art and function. Taking messaging, concepts, branding and themes we create unique objects and environments made with care, by hand.

From concept to production, we create bespoke objects and installations that are detailed, beautiful, and refined through care and context.

OUR SERVICES

At Dae Studio, we offer a bespoke creative service that can support projects at any stage — from early design development to individual props and installations, or full spatial design from concept through to installation.

Our process is carefully structured into clear stages, ensuring transparency and confidence throughout. Whether nurturing an idea from its earliest spark through to fabrication, or realising a fully formed vision with precision and craft, we work closely with our clients to create thoughtful, beautifully executed environments.

  • Following an initial client briefing, the studio will send over concepts and mood boards for a proposed design.

    This could look like the development of a client idea, or ideas with colours and theming from scratch.

  • Following approval of the initial concept and where possible a site visit, he design phase sees ideas and rough sketches realised as scale drawings with colour swatches and material samples.

  • Our studio team start sourcing and fabrication once the design, project timelines and pricing have been agreed.

    The majority of our work is sourced from markets or auctions, or fabricated in house by skilled artisans, specialists in their particular area.

  • Where required, the Dae Studio team will arrange delivery and personally install props and artworks to their ultimate destination.

THE TEAM

Alice MacColl

FOUNDER & CREATIVE DIRECTOR

Alice co-founded Dae Studio with Eddie in 2022 and works accross creative on all projects.

With a degree in Art History and Visual Studies her career began in the V&A press office before roles at White Cube and Damien Hirst’s studio, working across events, exhibition production and artist projects. Later she joined Soho House, curating the cultural Food & Drink programming at Soho Farmhouse,. producing everything from wild, woodland parties, to Food Festivals, cookery classes with Nigella Lawson and immersive, experiential dinners.

At Dae Studio Alice brings a love of storytelling, art and immersive design to every project, shaping the studio’s distinctive approach to creating thoughtful, detail-driven environments.

Edwina Sercombe

FOUNDER & CREATIVE DIRECTOR

Eddie co-founded DAE Studio with Alice and shares creative lead across all projects, overseeing studio teams and bringing her expertise in floristry and making to the studio’s work.

She studied Textile Design at Glasgow School of Art and Chelsea College of Art before beginning her career in fashion PR and later joining Damien Hirst’s studio, working across events, music and artist projects.

Eddie went on to work in film and television across costume, props and set departments on productions including The Dark Knight Rises, Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy and Argylle, alongside commercial campaigns for Samsung and eBay. Eddie later joined Soho House, curating and producing the cultural programme at Soho Farmhouse, where she met Alice and Lorna.

Faye Jacobs

PROJECT MANAGER

Faye manages projects across the studio, ensuring ideas move seamlessly from concept to completion. With a background in digital marketing, she previously worked as a director managing the L’Oréal portfolio, leading campaigns and overseeing large-scale brand activity.

After stepping away from corporate life to raise her first baby, Faye brought her organisational expertise and brand knowledge into the creative industries. At DAE Studio she oversees project timelines, logistics and client communication, helping ensure each project runs smoothly from initial concept through to installation.

Calm, highly organised and endlessly supportive of the team, Faye plays a key role in bringing DAE Studio’s creative ideas to life.

Lorna Alexander

BRAND & PARTNERSHIPS

Lorna leads brand and business development at DAE Studio, helping to shape partnerships, projects and opportunities for the studio. Her career began in the performing arts, training and working professionally as a dancer before transitioning into events, partnerships and brand collaborations.

With a natural instinct for people, storytelling and connection, Lorna brings warmth, energy and strategic thinking to the team. She works closely with clients and collaborators to help translate creative ideas into meaningful projects and long-term relationships, while also supporting the studio’s growth and direction.

Alongside her work at DAE Studio, Lorna is the brilliant mum to her daughter, Sienna.
