SICILIAN CEREMONY BACKDROP

Sicily, October 2025

Set within the Sicilian countryside, amongst olive groves and fragrant wild herbs, this bespoke backdrop was created in situ for a ceremony in the gardens of Biacharelli.

Dae Studio were commissioned by Wonderlust Events and Nicola Dixon to design and produce two standout installations for a photography workshop, exploring both ceremony and celebration settings.

For the ceremony, we created a bespoke backdrop composed of hundreds of hand-painted crepe paper petals. Built and painted on site, the piece was designed to sit in harmony with the landscape, echoing the colours and textures of the surrounding flora through a refined, sculptural installation.
